Alibaba Group mempunyai sembilan anak syarikat yang berdaya maju. Bermula dengan modal USD20,000 yang dikumpulkan bersama-sama isteri dan kawan, mereka memulakan bisnes dari apartment sahaja.

Di bawah ini adalah nasihat dan pandangan beliau tentang perniagaan. Katanya, bila kita memulakan kerja menjual, orang yang mula-mula percayakan kita ialah strangers, orang luar. Kengkawan akan menyorok, yang bau-bau bacang akan meneruskan bagi bau je, keluarga akan memandang rendah. Kenapa shareholder terakhir dalam turutan tidak seperti kebanyakan syarikat di dunia? sebab... bila syarikat ada masalah atau harga saham jatuh pemegang saham akan meninggalkan syarikat. Yang setia hanyalah pekerja yang yang bergantung harap dan menentukan hidup mati syarikat.
